Circular Walk Instructions

From 3 Miles to 10 Miles

The Millennium Way has 44 circular walks, ranging from 3 to 10 miles, and one "Easy Access" walk suitable for Category 3 Trampers (off-road scooters). Our walk numbers give an indication of the length  of the walk, lower numbers being shorter walks and higher numbers being longer. For example walk number 1 is just 3 miles.

Most of our circulars start at or near a public house or cafe, so you can have a drink and meal after the walk. Usually the landlord will be happy for you to park in the pub car park, however it would be courteous to check this beforehand.

Our detailed walking instructions, available online, are second to none - hedge by hedge, stile by stile, field by field. So you should not need a map, but we include an OS map on every Circular in any case. Alternatively use your smart phone with a charged battery. Each walk also has a GPX file that you can download into your walking app on your smartphone. That will keep you right on track.

Caution: Routes do get muddy in wet weather, so be prepared. When walking in the growing season we advise you take a sturdy stick to ease your passage! Don't wear shorts if you want to avoid getting stung or scratched. Please note that dogs may have to be lifted over stiles where there is no gap underneath. Take care with livestock - they are mostly just curious.
